– Color blocking ‘pop art’ motif (Cake Central) – This mod cake was reportedly inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s famed 1962 work “The Kiss II”.

– Andy Warhol graphics (Wedluxe) – Note the iconic Warhol graphics: the lips, the stylized florals, the banana.

– Andy Warhol sculpted cake (Pastry Live) – This ‘Art of Cake 2012’ winning creation incorporates quirky details from Warhol’s most renowned works, plus a caricature figure of the artist himself.

– ‘Pixel’ petit fours (House of Origin) – Not really sure if pixels were the inspiration for this truly unique deconstructed cake, but that was the apt description in the Once Wed post where we found it!

– Pixelated image (via Inspired By This) – Such a cool reference to today’s digital imagery! Photo credited to Joel Maus, Studio EMP.

– Purple candy and pics (via Arabia Weddings) – Purple and lilac candies create an interesting mosaic-like finish, and the couple’s photos serve as toppers!

  2. So nice of you to stop by, Jenni! We were pretty amazed ourselves at how daring and innovative some couples were willing to be with their cakes. Cheers!
